  • JOE – MOE Memorandum of Understanding

    Education is a lifelong process, and in this process the diverse needs of learners should be met. Information technology is important in meeting these needs. It is in this context that a signing of a memorandum of understanding took place on Friday 8th May 2015, between the Ministry of Education and the Jeollanambo Office of Education in the Republic of Korea (JOE).

    The agreement was signed on behalf of the Ministry by Mrs. Merida Delcy, Principal Secretary for Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary Education and Mantchai Chang for Jeollanambo Office of Education. The ceremony took place at the Mont Fleuri secondary school and saw the donation of 75 computer sets to the Ministry of Education.

    Present were the Minister for Education, Mrs. Macsuzy Mondon; JOE educational governor, Mantchai Chang, Seychelles Honorary Consul general to South Korea, Dong Chang Jeong, Ministry Officials, the head teacher, teachers, staff and students of the Mont Fleuri Secondary school.

    Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Mantchai said that it is important for children to study and learn, as education can change their lives and future and enable them to realize their dreams.

    The donation of these computers which will be kept in the school libraries for use by students and teachers, have come at a suitable time now that the Ministry of Education is starting to implement its Medium Term Strategy 2013-2017.
