November 23, 2016 - On Thursday 17th November in the afternoon, Minister Morgan, the Minister for Education and Human Resource Development visited the Agency for National Human Resource Development (ANHRD). The mission of the Agency is to implement government policies on Human Resource Development to ensure that human resource development matches the evolving needs of the country. During his visit, the Minister and his delegation met the staff of the Agency where they voiced out certain challenges they face which include a lack of staff that exerts presure on their work.
Currently, the Agency employs 15 staff and manages around 800 students who are presently undertaking tertiary level studies and a budget of nearly SR200 million per year.
In order to better plan for the human resource needs of the country, the Agency is working on a project which is being funded jointly by the African Development Bank and the Government of Seychelles.
