Statistics

Rationale
To manage education through informed decision in the increasingly globalize world of today, it is important to have accurate and timely information available which links together resource inputs to education teaching and learning conditions and processes and appropriate indicators of the knowledge acquired by students.

The Education Management Information System (EMIS) has an important role in assisting with education policy planning, implementation, evaluation and monitoring processes in the Ministry of Education. It  serves at all levels of education and all members of the education  system. The annual Education Statistics Booklet prepared by the EMIS is a vital source of essential statistical information about education and training in Seychelles, which enables the Ministry of Education to meet the information needs of all stakeholders, both nationally and internationally

The publication of the Ministry's 'Education Statistics 2014' marks the beginning of a new approach to providing a more comprehensive and informative statistical depiction of the Seychelles education and training system.

It is worth noting that the comments you make on the abstract will improve our subsequent publications. Further the co-operation from all the stakeholders as established in the past will help nurture and improve further our Education Management Information System.
