ADMISSION

1. Applications are open to all except students following their compulsory education programme in primary or secondary institutions.
2. For ‘O’ Levels in Mathematics, English and French, and IGCSE in Mathematics and English, selection and placement are based on the proficiency test results prepared by ALDEC and/or National Examinations.
3. For candidates seeking admission onto other courses at ‘O’ Level the applicants’ performance at National Examinations where the specific subject is offered at secondary level will be considered. In instances where the applicant did not take the subject at National Exams, some grounding in the subject will be a requirement. All applicants will need a minimum ‘D’ or better in English Language at National exams or the equivalent.
4. Candidates seeking admission onto Advanced Level courses will normally be expected to have obtained a grade C or better in the ‘O’ Level/IGCSE subject(s), which they wish to study at ‘A’ Level. Some subjects will not require the same ‘O’ Level/IGCSE subject as prerequisite. These subjects are highlighted in the ‘Courses and Programmes’ section of this document.
The Modular Courses normally have ‘open entry’ criteria. However, applicants are expected to take them in sequential order (beginners, intermediate, advanced).
