GUIDELINES FOR TAKING THE PROFICIENCY TEST IN ENGLISH
The Assessment Section, Centre for Curriculum, Assessment & Teacher Support within the Ministry of Education currently holds Proficiency Tests in English for candidates going on short overseas training whereby the institution requires the candidate to be proficient in English in order to follow the course.
Hence, the candidate has to provide, to the institution, proof of an administered test in English administered by an English language specialist.
The Proficiency Test is designed to evaluate proficiency in English for adults travelling overseas on short courses or to study. The Test is designed in such a way to effectively test the candidate’s ability in all four skills in English, namely, Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.
Transparent Language has provided the English test as a way for English language learners to evaluate their English proficiency. The Proficiency Test in English is based on the standard British English vocabulary and English grammar that is found in any English language learning material.
The Proficiency Test allows for the required University to see the competency of English of the enrolled candidate as well as serve as a self-evaluation purpose for that candidate.
